I have found a new blog that I love!!! Go to http://www.ilovedevotionals.com/
for some wonderful encouragement! I have to say, it's been a tough month, but SO worth what GOD has been doing in my life. It's too wonderful for me to express right now, simply because I'm not really sure of how to describe it all and put into words the change that is happening in my heart.
So for now.... be blessed and be joyful!

Off to Haiti I Go!
Dear Family and Friends,
A quick pic after crafts in Honduras! |
VBS in Honduras |
I have the honor, once again, to travel with a group of
eight women to Haiti, April 20-27, 2013. The team is working diligently to raise the
funds and supplies necessary for this trip. The work we will be doing is
invaluable to the Haitian people, the majority of whom have been taught there
is no hope for Haiti.
We will be working with approximately 500 primary school children, K-6th grade, teaching and encouraging them in the Lord. We will also be holding medical clinics at two orphanages, visiting shut-ins in their homes, and ministering in three church services. Yes, it promises to be a very full and fruitful week!
For many years, Haiti was the poorest nation in the Western hemisphere. Since the earthquake in 2011 and the two recent hurricanes, Haiti now holds poorest nation in the world status. Its people are kind and humble and hardworking. They are oppressed by a corrupt government. They need our help...
And we need yours. A mission of this magnitude could never be undertaken without the prayer and financial help of many. Please consider donating to this mission. Your tax-deductible check can be written to: Whipping Post Ministries 945 Myler Road East Liverpool, OH 43920. If sending a check, please include my name, Angelina Creed, on a post it note, or a separate piece of paper.

Happy New Year!
I know I'm a little late on wishing everyone a Happy New Year, but still better late than never! I pray this year brings you joy, peace, and a renewed urge to dive deeper in with God. The beginning of a new year always brings us to contemplate what our new year's resolutions will be. As for myself, I am constantly saying, this year... I will DEFINITELY keep my resolution. It lasts maybe a couple weeks if I'm really determined. Read more of the Bible, spend more time in prayer, devotions everyday... cook more at home, live healthier, go to the gym more... all good intentions, things we should already be doing, but hard to keep. Why?? I have heard that making broad claims makes a resolution hard to keep. Try being more specific and tackling one thing at a time. Want to spend more time in prayer?? Commit to 10 minutes a day... and specify a time, whatever works for you: morning, evenings, night... get up a little earlier, stay up a little later. Whatever you need to do... keep that commitment. Soon it will be part of your daily life... and you'll be craving for more time. =)
My resolution for 2012???? Well let's just say that maybe by the end of this year I will be able to share it with you =) Basically Josh and I would like to become better stewards of our money. That getting under control will help many other things fall into place!! =)

Burnt Chocolate
Over the holidays I was in a baking mood, which happens during Christmas time because I love making, decorating, and eating cutouts, fudge, and all the other yummy goodies that it brings =)
I was a little ambitious and thought I really wanted to make some peanut butter balls. As I had the night off I woke up at around 5 am (so did Josh) decided that this would be the opportune moment. I found a recipe online that didn't look too hard and started baking away.
Let me pause to say that 1. the A-team was on tv so I was slightly distracted and 2. I didn't realize the recipe had a typo
Since I have a bad habit of not following recipes (which gets me into trouble) I followed this one to a t, not questioning anything, being slightly naive, and distracted.
This ended up with a fire in my oven.... flames shooting out and me telling Josh (who was playing video games now) that we had a fire. Apparently I've cried wolf too many times and he didn't respond right away. But when he did come in.... it was bad. I ran for a fire extinguisher and Josh just took the chocolate chips on the pan, opened our door to the landing and threw them into the snow.....
Just another day at the Creed residence =)

Deeper In
There has been a lot on my mind lately and while I'm not going to go into all that I can say that I've also never felt God's presence so real in my life. No matter what happens God is there. Through pain, tears, joys, and triumphs He will always be by your side. He's the friend that always has your back.
Starting school back up again has been bitter sweet. It's good to see the end result, but the process getting there has been rough. I know I'm not even close to being finished, but at least I'm pressing on and not giving up. And I'm reminded again that without Him I wouldn't have made it this far.
Through all of this, I hear Him calling me and drawing me deeper.
